School Advisory Council (SAC)

Parents, teachers, students, business partners and community members participate in the school’s planning
and decision making process in order to meet the educational needs of all students.  SAC is open to all
families and community members. The SAC creates and maintains the School Improvement Plan for
Watson B. Duncan Middle School. They meet on a  Thursday evening  each month in the media
center. Parents are encouraged to attend. You can join as a voting member or as a non-voting
member. Voting members are required to attend monthly meetings, with two allowable absences.
This is an excellent opportunity to meet with representatives from each department: guidance,
academic (teachers), administration, media and support staff.
